Pablo Cáceres
While typically utilizing live models for both his traditional medium and digital art works, Pablo Cáceres captures the human form using a range of themes from queer to Gothic and playful to solemn. Pablo’s preferred medium is acrylic painting and collage. His art has been featured on MTV’s Music Experiment, PQ Monthly, Vancouver Vector, Queer Voices and appeared in galleries throughout the region. Born in the United States to Chilean immigrants in 1979, Pablo has been a resident of the Portland metropolitan area for over 20 years. He is known by his friends and within his local art community as “Pablito”. This nickname was given to him as a child by his family and is what he currently uses to sign his artwork.

Wes Fanelli currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA. His work is informed through personal exploration of the queer family and potentiality for love and belonging. Fanelli’s staged events recall eroticized versions of family dinners from the traditional Catholic household of his upbringing, retold starring his inner circle of friends. Through painting and drawing, his events are translated into thick layers of memory, longing, and a hope for validation. His drawings become love letters. Fanelli received his BA in Studio Art from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2006 and his MFA in Studio Practice from California College of the Arts in 2013. His group exhibitions include the “22nd Annual Juried Exhibition” and “CAC East Side Projects” at the Contemporary Arts Collective in Las Vegas, Nevada, “Tear it Out” at Issues in Oakland, CA, and “Doing Your Dirty Work” at the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco, CA.

Since publishing “Flesh Wounds and Purple Flowers” (Arsenal Pulp Press 2001) and “Killing Me Softly” (Suspect Thoughts Press 2004), Francisco Ibanez-Carrasco has been called one of Canada’s queer enfant terrible writers. He keeps penning brazen nonfiction, his last gambit is in a memoir book titled “Giving It Raw: Nearly 30 Years with AIDS” (Transgress Press 2014). For Francisco, living in Canada since 1985 has been living and writing with HIV. His prose is pert, pithy and picante. He now lives in Toronto where he works as an educator and scientist.

Grahame Perry is a San Francisco/Bay Area photographer creating interesting and artful images. He is drawn especially to street photography, urban landscapes, community, travel, and night photography. Returning to school in the mid-2000’s, he discovered a passion for photography and went on to complete an A.S. in Photography from CCSF. In the last several years, he has been Inspired towards image-making through photography. He has exhibited individually and participated in numerous group shows and as part of the 81 Bees Photo Collective. The image Clean/ Dirty in Faggot Journal is from his series Am I Blue? which explores HIV and long term survival, hope and regret, joy and fear. His visual images capture the struggles that might exist alongside well-being and gratitude, showing the many ways that this experience has created unexpected symbols and unforeseen reactions. The photographs from the Am I Blue? series have also appeared in gallery shows at the Grunwald Art Gallery, SF Cameraworks, and Rayko Photo Center. Excerpts from the series have been published in RFD Magazine (Summer 2014) and in Visual AIDS Web Gallery (Sept. 2014).

After five years working in National Parks in Alaska, he moved to Portland, Oregon, to seek community and art where he sang with the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus. After a year of “lunching with the ladies”, he returned to work as a media specialist for Glacier National Park where he is rediscovering his love of wild places. Through his journalistic art he seeks to connect people with the raw poetry of the earth and the vulnerability of the human experience.

Eric Sneathen is a poet and PhD student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He focuses on contemporary poetry and poetics, especially those related to the AIDS crisis, pornography, and environmental destruction. His other academic interests include the relationship between neoliberalism and crisis and the formation and possible disintegration of gay and queer identities, solidarities, and communities across literature, visual art, and film. In addition to his occasional zine Macaroni Necklace, which features emerging writers and visual artists in conversation with established writers of the San Francisco Bay Area, his recent creative and critical work has been published or is forthcoming in The Equalizer,Mondo Bummer, and Tripwire.

Pan has performed at the Ludlow Festival in the U.K. and in Portland with PICAʼs TBA: 09, TBA:11, and TBA:13 festivals.
